Visiting the Zoo in Tambov
I am not normally an animal lover. I like animals, but I don’t normally have emotional attachment to them. Today, however, something changed. We went to the Zoo in Tambov. Seeing in what condition the animals were there, kind of bugged me for the first time. Here are a few shots.
Tambov Zoo has been in the international news already, just recently. Back in May 2010 a lion dragged a 4-year old girl into the cage and damaged her quite a bit, when she tried to feed him (Read full story here). Guess what – that lion is still there and she looked very angry, she even had a go at us. They put some chicken wire for some extra protection. Here it is. This is the one:
